Horseshoe St Louis restaurants include a couple of upscale options and two casual dining locations. On the higher end are Morton’s The Steakhouse and another steak-centric offering, Cinder House. Meanwhile, for those looking for something less expensive, the Riverfront Grill is great for burgers, fries, and the like, or you can run over to The Slice Pizzeria and Pasta.

Otherwise, the property features a popular sports bar right off the gambling floor with 12 large-screen TVs and plenty of seating.

Caesars Rewards loyalty program

Like all Caesars Entertainment properties, Horseshoe St. Louis Casino & Hotel offers guests the chance to enroll in the Caesars Rewards loyalty program. Members accrue both reward credits and tier credits whenever they spend money at Horseshoe St. Louis Casino or anywhere else on the property. They can also earn credits and claim rewards at more than 50 other Caesars locations, including Harrah’s Kansas City.

You can redeem reward credits for bonus play at Horseshoe St. Louis Casino at a rate of $1 for every 200 credits. You can also redeem them for other perks, including discounts on hotel rooms, when dining at restaurants, or when purchasing other goods and services at Caesars properties. And you can use reward credits to help buy into World Series of Poker events at Caesars locations.

Tier credits, meanwhile, determine your tier level as follows:

Horseshoe St. Louis history

The downtown St. Louis property first opened in 2007, starting as Lumière Place under the ownership of Pinnacle Entertainment until 2014, when Tropicana Entertainment acquired Horseshoe St. Louis Casino.

In 2018, the property changed hands once more in a complicated deal involving Gaming and Leisure Properties, and Eldorado Resorts. Under the terms, GLP owns the property while Eldorado, now Caesars Entertainment, operates it.

That negotiation actually took a couple of years to finalize, thanks to the Missouri Gaming Commission having initially nixed it since GLP already owns five other Missouri properties. Boyd Gaming leases two of those properties — Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City and Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles. And Penn National Gaming leases the other three — Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa, Hollywood Casino St. Louis, and River City Casino & Hotel.

Regulators had initially opposed GLP taking over Lumière Place out of concern over the company having a monopoly over gambling in the state but finally agreed to allow the deal in 2020. Later in 2022, the property’s name changed to Horseshoe St. Louis. Along with the new ownership and rebranding, the property underwent a significant renovation to its exterior and gambling floor while also adding slot machines.
