What is FanDuel Picks and how does it work?

Make Your Picks on FanDuel PicksWhat exactly is FanDuel Picks and how does it differ from FanDuel’s other products? I have spent plenty of time using the FanDuel Sportsbook app, and I am also familiar with their long-running daily fantasy sports platform. FanDuel Picks offers something a little different.

In short, FanDuel Picks is a pick’em-style fantasy sports game that blends elements of fantasy contests with prop-style betting. It competes with similar products like DraftKings Pick6 and Underdog Fantasy, but it has its own approach.

The concept is simple. You choose multiple player stat projections and guess whether each one will go “more” or “less” than the listed total, such as points, yards, rebounds, or hits. These are essentially player prop picks. The more correct selections you make, the bigger your payout.

In many ways, the wagers feel like parlays since you are combining several over/under-style predictions into a single entry. Specially, these are multiple player props you’re combining into a single entry. At the moment, that is the only way to play on the app. However, since this is still a relatively new product, more contest formats and features may be added in the future.

FanDuel Picks is available as a standalone mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. You will need to download it to participate, but if you already have a FanDuel account, you can log in with your existing details. Any funds in your FanDuel wallet can also be used to pay for Picks entries, making it easy to jump into these real money fantasy contests without extra steps.

FanDuel Picks sign-up offer

If you are new to FanDuel Picks, you can get started with a nice boost. Make your first cash entry of at least $5, and the site will give you $25 in bonus credits. To unlock the offer, create an account, add at least $5 to your balance, and join a contest with an entry fee of $5 or more. Your bonus will then be credited to your account as soon as that entry is placed.

These bonus credits work in a similar way to bonus bets at the FanDuel Sportsbook. You cannot withdraw the bonus amount itself, but you can use it to enter more contests. Any winnings from those entries are yours to cash out right away, with no extra wagering requirements. Keep in mind that when playing with bonus credits, you will only keep your winnings, not the amount of the entry fee.

First impressions of the FanDuel Picks app

From the moment you open FanDuel Picks, it is clear that the app is designed to be simple and straightforward. The main screen puts the player list and available game slates right in front of you, so you can start building your entry almost immediately. Navigation is smooth, with menus that are easy to find and clear prompts guiding you through the process of making picks and confirming your entry.

The app also feels fast and responsive, with minimal loading times when switching between contests or categories. Stat projections are displayed in large, readable text, and the “More” or “Less” buttons are easy to tap without worrying about misclicks. Overall, my first impression is that this is one of FanDuel’s more intuitive products — the kind of app you can figure out in a minute or two, even if you have never played a pick’em game before.

Keep reading, though, as I want to walk you through what you’ll find at FanDuel Picks right now if you download and open it along with some other details about getting started at FanDuel Picks.

Ongoing promotions at FanDuel Picks

At this stage, FanDuel Picks does not have a large selection of ongoing promotions, which makes sense given that it is still a fairly new platform.

You can find a “Promos” tab at the bottom of the app’s home screen. While I was testing the app, the only offer listed was Gronk’s Summer Bonus Bash, a contest with a $200,000 prize pool. Interestingly, this particular promotion is actually being run on FanDuel Faceoff, a separate platform from the same company. In fact, I’ve seen other promos pop up in that section, but so far they’ve always been for FanDuel Faceoff.

If FanDuel’s sportsbook and daily fantasy sites are anything to go by, the Picks app will likely add more recurring bonuses and seasonal offers over time. We will be keeping watch here at PlayMissouri for when these extra incentives roll out, as they could give players even more value when making their picks.

How to enter contests at FanDuel Picks

Submitting an entry at FanDuel PicksOne of the things I like most about FanDuel Picks is how straightforward it is to play. It is certainly simpler than regular Missouri sportsbetting or many daily fantasy sports contests, which makes it easy to jump right in even if you are new to this style of game.

When you open the app, you will see a scrollable list of players. Above that list is a drop-down menu showing the available game slates for the day. Usually, there are only a couple of options. When I’ve looked, I have often see one slate for early games and another for the later matchups.

Once you choose a contest, you can scroll through the player list and decide whether each one will go “More” or “Less” than their projected stat total. The players are grouped into statistical categories. For example, in baseball you might see categories for total bases, strikeouts thrown, runs scored, hits, and RBIs.

You can make anywhere from three to six picks for each entry. You can stick to one category or mix picks from multiple categories. After making your choices, tap the “Review & Enter” button at the bottom, enter your wager amount, and then click “Continue” to lock in your picks.

The payout structure is fixed and based on the number of picks you make:

3 correct picks = win 6x your stake
4 correct picks = win 10x
5 correct picks = win 20x
— get all 6 correct = win 38x

While you might see FanDuel Picks described as “peer-to-peer fantasy sports,” the current contests do not require you to outscore other players. Instead, it’s all about making a perfect card. If every pick is correct, you hit the multiplier for that tier and collect the payout.

It really is that simple. Make your picks, aim for perfection, and see if you can turn your predictions into a win.

Some FanDuel Picks players also follow other fantasy formats and sportsbooks to get a sense of how different platforms compare. The Fantasy Picks guide gives an overview of how pick’em contests fit into the wider DFS space in Missouri. On the sportsbook side, the sportsbook guide for Missouri outlines differences in betting interfaces and market features. For instance, the bet365 betting site is known for live-wagering depth, while the Betrivers betting site emphasizes rewards programs, and the Circa sportsbook review highlights sharper pricing.

Different ways to play at FanDuel Picks

I say that currently there is only one way to play at FanDuel Picks, but that could change soon. FanDuel Picks has hinted at adding more ways to play beyond the current pick’em format. One idea FanDuel has described involves contests where you make selections and compete directly against other players.

In this type of contest, a set number of participants would each pay an entry fee, such as $1, $5, or $10, to create a shared prize pool. The players who make the most correct picks would split the winnings. As an example, a contest might have 120 entries and out of those let’s imagine 12 players correctly nail all six of their picks. Those 12 players would then divide the prize pool evenly as their reward, in this case probably winning back close to 10x what they paid to enter.

It will be interesting to see how these new formats fit alongside the existing fixed-payout games. We will update this review as soon as FanDuel Picks launches additional contest types, so you know exactly what new options are available.

Banking options at FanDuel Picks

Funding your account and cashing out your winnings on FanDuel Picks works much like it does on FanDuel’s other platforms, giving you a range of familiar payment options.

For deposits, you can choose from several methods, including online banking via Trustly, major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Pay. Depending on your state, you might also see additional options such as the prepaid FanDuel Prepaid Play+ card.

Withdrawals are also straightforward. You can cash out to a debit card, PayPal, Venmo, or request a check by mail. As is standard with FanDuel, you will usually need to use a withdrawal method you have previously used for depositing. It is worth checking your account for any other location-specific options that might be available to you.

The minimum deposit is $5, so it does not take much to get started. The minimum withdrawal is $1, which makes it easy to claim even smaller wins.

FanDuel Picks pros & cons

  • Simple, easy-to-learn format with fixed multiplier payouts that make it clear what you can win
  • Shared wallet with other FanDuel products + multiple secure banking options
  • Responsive, user-friendly mobile app available for both iOS and Android
  • Must get all picks correct to win
  • Limited sports and contest types so far + few ongoing promotions
  • No desktop or web-based version

FanDuel Picks customer support

FanDuel offers solid and reliable customer service across its various platforms, and FanDuel Picks follows the same approach.

If you need help, you can tap the blue “Chat with an Expert” button in the bottom right corner of the screen in order to access live chat support. First you’ll encounter the FanDuel Coach chatbot, which will try to answer your questions but may or not be enough for you. In my case, it took a few minutes with the bot before I was connected to a live support agent. Once I got through, the person on the other end was polite, knowledgeable, and resolved my issue without any trouble.

The app also includes an FAQ section that covers a range of common topics. You can browse by product and choose “Picks” to view articles related specifically to FanDuel Picks, or search by keyword to find what you need. At the moment, the Picks section is fairly limited, but it still covers the basics.

Give FanDuel Picks a try

FanDuel Picks is shaping up to be a fun and approachable option for anyone who enjoys making quick sports predictions without the complexity of traditional betting or daily fantasy leagues. The pick’em format is easy to learn, the fixed multipliers make payouts clear, and the app’s shared wallet with other FanDuel products makes it simple to get started if you are already a customer. While the current game mode requires perfection to win, the platform’s straightforward design, robust banking options, and familiar customer support provide a solid foundation.

With its launch in MO, you can now try FanDuel Picks for yourself. Although it may not yet have a deep lineup of promotions or contest formats, more variety appears to be on the way. If you like the idea of combining a few player prop picks into a single entry and testing your sports knowledge for a shot at real-money payouts, you can take advantage of the FanDuel Picks welcome bonus, and remember, no FanDuel Picks promo code is required when signing up.
