PlayAGS will bring its top performing Spectra UR43 to casinos across Missouri. The company was recently approved to place electronic gaming machines and table products at casinos in the state.
PlayAGS says it designs its cabinets to grab the attention of slots players in casinos.
Spectra UR43 cabinets feature 43-inch screens and dynamic lighting
There are 13 casinos operating in Missouri. Missouri online casinos are still illegal, as is sports betting in Missouri, so brick-and-mortar gaming is where all Missouri focus currently resides.
According to the Missouri Gaming Commission, casinos generated $156.4 million in adjusted gross revenue in August, the most recent month reported. It was a 7.7% drop compared to $168.5 million in revenue from July. The state received $33 million in taxes from casino gambling in July.
PlayAGS’ latest technology, Spectra UR43, could keep Missourians gaming longer at casinos. The Spectra UR43 launched earlier this year and topped the Eilers & Krejcik Game Performance survey for nine consecutive months. The Spectra UR43 presents a 43-inch ultra HD 4k portrait monitor outlined with clean game-controlled eclipse lighting.
The cabinet is an evolution of the Orion Portrait cabinet. It leads as the first cabinet in a new generation of cabinets available in Class II, Class III and historical horse racing markets. Colorado also recently approved placement of PlayAGS cabinets in that state’s casinos.
Mark DeDeaux, AGS senior vice president and general manager of slots, said he’s excited about AGS’ multifaceted growth.
“Getting licensed in these two important jurisdictions is a meaningful piece of AGS’ overall growth strategy, in combination with the investments we have made in hiring top talent within R&D and expanding our game studios worldwide. We are pleased to be able to offer our high-performing, chart-topping new products to customers in both the Colorado and Missouri markets.”

Casino operators can purchase or lease PlayAGS cabinets
AGS says they design all their cabinets with the intention of capturing the attention of players on casino floors while aiming to maximize operator profits. They offer customers the option of either leasing or purchasing electronic gaming machines and associated gaming systems.
A substantial portion of the company’s revenues came from electronic gaming machines installed under revenue sharing or fee-per-day lease agreements. In 2022, approximately 72% of the company’s total revenue came from lease agreements.
PlayAGS, Inc. was founded in 2005. Its corporate headquarters is in Las Vegas. Its largest manufacturing and warehouse facility is in Oklahoma City.
