Tyler Andrews began his career in the press boxes, pits, and infields of Southern California covering sports and racing for Live Magazine. He then spent four years in Barcelona, writing for Metropolitan BCN about FC Barcelona football, art, and entertainment. In his current position, Tyler contributes predominantly to PlayTexas.com, covering sports, sports law, and gambling for the Lone Star State. However, he has covered similar topics for PlayCA, PlayFlorida, PlayOhio, and PlayMA. Tyler’s current focus is Texas’s pathway to gaming legalization. He is in regular conversation with members of the state legislature and the state’s three tribal communities to bring Texans the most accurate picture of the state’s gaming and sports betting landscape. Tyler, a Las Vegas native, is a graduate of both Cal State Long Beach and Chapman University. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and family where, when he’s not chasing after his two daughters, he goes to concerts with his wife, collects comic books, and roots for the Vegas Golden Knights.
